For the past two years, goEgo team has been participating in the global PlugFest event that brings together the top 200 companies in the EV charging industry and today we are proud to announce that we are now a member of the Open Charge Alliance!

We remember vividly that it was on 2nd and 3rd February of this year, our product team in The Netherlands was all geared up to test our chargers and our network platform at OCPP 1.6 Global Plugfest.

Since 2009, Open Charge Alliance has been promoting the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) benefits to make Electric Vehicle (EV) networks open and accessible.

The protocol started in 2009 as an initiative from the ELaad foundation in the Netherlands and was first formed as the Open Charge Point Protocol Forum. The aim was to create an open communication standard that would allow the Dutch Charging Stations (CS) and Charging Station Management Systems (CSMS) from different vendors to easily communicate with each other.

We at goEgo have always believed in promoting open industry standards creating healthy competition and a level playing field for industry players globally. The mission of OCA is in line with our goals as they foster global development, adoption, and compliance of open-sourced communication protocols in EV charging infrastructure.

With 180 and more participants, OCA members span in all the domains of the EV charging equipment manufacturers, software and systems providers, charging network operators, and research organizations. goEgo today became one of the early members of the Alliance from the Indian subcontinent.

We thank OCA for allowing us to be a part of this great initiative and we hope to provide you with all the possible justice as we believe in building world-class products designed and manufactured in India.
