Humans of EV

I moved to Pune from my hometown, Solapur, and have been working in Cybage for the last 12 years in the Admit Department. Although my roots are in a small town, it triggered my interest in

EVs once I moved to Pune for work. My decision to purchase one was governed by the rising fuel prices and exhausting amount of pollution which is a major problem, especially for 2 and 3 wheeler riders.

I finally took my first step and booked a Bajaj Chetan which I bought in August 2021. I was persuaded by many factors, particularly since EVs are comparatively more maintenance-free than ICE vehicles.

I travel 40 km daily to and fro from my home to my office, which is very cost-effective as well. Earlier I had an ICE bike and I used to spend Rs 3500 per month on fuel charges, whereas now my bills have been reduced to Rs 230 since I transitioned to an EV.

I am also quite impressed by the battery power, chassis, and metal structure of the Bajaj Chetan. The superior quality and experience of my first EV have also made me spread the word about EVs, which has convinced two of my friends as well to purchase an EV.

Moreover, at the moment I do not see any challenges as my travel need is limited between home and work. The best and most useful aspect for me is the charging experience which is quite seamless and user-friendly.  It is superb as we have a charging station installed in our company making it pretty convenient and time-saving for me to charge my EV while I am working.

In the future, I look forward to buying a 4-wheeler EV that has a good range of 500km so that I can commute to my home town which stretches to quite a distance from Pune.
