The goEgoNetwork team, covered their last Interstate Electric Drive between Pune-Goa-Pune for the year 2021 in December. The aim was to participate in the Goa Expo event of Renewable energy aligned with the Goa governments cause towards a 100% Renewable Energy (RE) roadmap to promote sustainability and RE. The cause was aimed with a focus on alternate sources of energy through solar, wind, biogas, biofuel for energy efficiency as well as greener buildings to promote a cleaner goa, and to boost Electric rides across states.

The drive covered a good 1060 Km’s in total, with 6 required number of charging stops costing 1700 INR at an average of 1.7 Rs per Km, 5 times cheaper than a regular SUV. The highlight of the drive was the ability to cover long distance with an anxiety-free, smooth, and convenient journey, thanks to a sufficient and competent charging infrastructure. The EV cruised well in the Ghats(valley) and managed to cover the distance at a short period of time as well. The drive from Pune to Goa, was a beautiful one, that required two stops to charge the EV, each that was time well spent- Eating, resting, and refreshing.

The takeaway from the encounter in Goa, was the improvisations towards the existing charging infrastructure, where better setup can be organized, which is a bonus opportunity to offer a more efficient and wholesome EV ride experience.
